Corrugated cardboard is used as an effective transportation protection for dangerous goods. The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und –prüfung (BAM, Federal Agency for Material Research and Testing) in Berlin has certified STI Corrugated GmbH for the manufacturing of packaging for dangerous goods and since than STI is able to support the certification process and to speed up approval..

Thanks to tests in STI’s in-house labs, the company is in a position to precisely prepare development and release processes for dangerous goods packaging and speed up the BAM approval process considerably.

Packages for dangerous and hazardous goods are sensitive to humans and environment: Requirements on protection and safety during transport and handling are grouped into three classes with nine levels. All of these requirements could be tested on-site and the approval by BAM is perfectly prepared.
